Shubhangam Singh
A trailblazing designer with a passion for sustainable furniture and a deep-rooted commitment to craftsmanship. Shubhangam's journey began at NIFT, where he honed his skills and received numerous accolades, including the prestigious "Most Commercially Design Intervention Award" and "Best Graduation Project."
Continuing his pursuit of excellence, Shubhangam ventured into the world of Furniture Design, achieving an MA degree from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. His exceptional talent caught the attention of the university, securing him the coveted "International Postgraduate Scholarship."
Recognized as one of the "20 under 35 Emerging Designers of India," Shubhangam's innovative approach has garnered admiration far and wide. From being selected for the esteemed "Young Furniture Makers Award 2023" to reaching the finals of "Design Intelligence Award Beijing 2020" and "Stella McCartney x Lenovo Project Green Award 2022," Surface Design Show UK 2024 his achievements are nothing short of extraordinary.
With a focus on artisan collaboration and preserving traditional craftsmanship, Shubhangam's designs breathe life into bespoke furniture pieces. His impact has extended beyond borders, working with foreign export enterprises and the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts in Rajasthan.

Shatakshi Singh
Meet Shatakshi, the compassionate and driven Head of Administration at Abeey Yaar. With a wealth of experience in education, disaster relief, and rural socioeconomic development, she has always championed the safety and well-being of children and women. For more than five years, Shatakshi has been actively involved in social activism, policy research, and community outreach, making a significant impact in these domains.
Alongside Shubhangam, Shatakshi co-founded Abeey Yaar with a noble mission in mind—to uplift the underpaid and neglected craftsmen in India's handicraft sector and celebrate the richness of Indian art and culture. Their vision is to elevate the living standards of artisan communities by equipping them to meet market demands and attain economic self-sufficiency.
Shatakshi's academic achievements include a BA in Sociology from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, an MA in International Development from the University of Edinburgh, and a diploma in Gender, Media, and Culture from King's College London. Her expertise in social development plays a pivotal role in the for-profit business plan, ensuring the empowerment and growth of the talented craftspeople associated with Abeey Yaar.
